Elementary Praxis!

Elementary school: Multiple subjects - test 5031...  This is ONLY taken via Computer format at an ETS-sponsored site.

Students taking the test overseas please see the instructions below. You MUST include the U.S. Soc. Sec. # on your ETS registration form and list the NJ Department of Education (R7666) as a score recipient in addition to TCNJ -- R2519).

Important note: When you get your scores, send a screenshot to Tabitha (dellange@tcnj.edu). This will help expedite the process of putting your packet together on campus.

To arrange to take the Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects test in Thailand or any other Asian city, please complete and submit the 4-page paper-delivered test registration form (available at www.ets.org/praxis/about/bulletin) to us at the following fax number:

Fax Number:609-683-2040
Attn:Debra Siwczak

Although the form indicates that it cannot be used for computer-delivered test registration, we do need you to complete this form so that we have all the pieces of information we need to set up a test site overseas. For the Test Center section of the form, if you could leave the site name and code blank and fill in the city and country, we will use that information to find the closest available site.

Upon receipt of your forms, we will begin making arrangements to set up a computer-delivered test site at a location in or near the location you designate on your form. Please note that the process of setting up the test site takes at least six weeks.

We appreciate your inquiry, and we hope this information is helpful.

  1. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for me. Just got off the phone with ETS customer service, and they swear that they simply do not offer computer-based tests overseas, period. I am going to copy some text from this post and fax it to them. I can't imagine I'm the first person to go through this experience with ETS.

Can anyone else comment on taking a computer-based Praxis exam overseas?

  2. Good news - you can now register with ETS online for overseas computer-based exams. Bangkok apparently has two approved testing centers, and there are plenty of dates available for the Praxis in October and December. Looks like ETS has stepped up and made this process as easy as it's supposed to be.
