Commencement Speakers and Talent
I know you just arrived but we are already planning our commencement ceremony. Each year we typically have one or two graduates speak as well as having some of our students perform.
Today I am writing with two requests:
* Nominate a fellow student who is completing a program to give a brief address (3-4 minutes).
* If you have a talent and would like to perform, please let me know. This year we will be playing a specific song (to be revealed later) and it would be great to have some confident voices leading as it is sung.
Advising appointments
On-site advising. Beginning on Day 1 you will have Megan Koster Gordon available for your advising needs. I will be on campus beginning July 4th and you can sign up to meet me using the following Doodle Poll

Where is my certificate?
- As of May 15, 2015, the New Jersey Department of Education will no longer issue paper licenses. Certificate copies will be available for printing from the New Jersey Teacher Certification Information System (TCIS) sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Education.
- Available information includes teacher’s name, certificate name, certificate ID number, date of issuance.
- Instructions to view this information can be found at

** Provide your potential employer the website and login so they can see the database for themselves. There is not much more secure than a .gov website. Hopefully, that will alleviate any issues with not having the paper form.
