• Please be advised that the NJPSA Legal One HIB training website has been updated and is now online.  Please follow the link below for instructions on registering for HIB Training.
• Field Course HIB Training Req. Rev. FALL 2016 Updated 11_6_2015-2
• NJ Health and Physiology Requirement – please contact pironej@tcnj.edu or davisb@tcnj.edu to register for the P&H test if you don’t have a qualifying course in Biological Sciences or SCI104 to satisfy the requirement.

***NOTE*** HIB and Health requirements are only needed for CEAS candidates. CQ candidates are exempt.

Admission requirements (effective 9/2015)

• EFFECTIVE FALL 2015, all candidates applying for an initial teacher certification must submit ONE of the following:
  • 1630 or higher on the SAT (verbal, math and writing) test
  • 23 or higher on the ACT (verbal and math) test
  • Minimum of 4 on the analytical writing section and a combined score of 310 on the GRE (verbal and math)
  • Minimum scores on the Praxis Core: Academic Skills for Educators Reading, Writing and Math tests:

• International applicants must also take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) if their native language is not English.
• All test scores should be sent to The College of New Jersey (Code #R2519).
• Plan to take the exam at least 2-3 weeks before the deadline.

Commencement Speakers and Talent

I know you just arrived but we are already planning our commencement ceremony. Each year we typically have one or two graduates speak as well as having some of our students perform. 

Today I am writing with two requests:

* Nominate a fellow student who is completing a program to give a brief address (3-4 minutes). 

* If you have a talent and would like to perform, please let me know. This year we will be playing a specific song (to be revealed later) and it would be great to have some confident voices leading as it is sung.

Advising appointments
